You’re a seasoned PHP developer (WordPress, Drupal etc.) who loves to collaborate in the creation of great interactive work. Full Stack Web Developer, Part-time.

*Career Responsibilities:*

  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues to create interactive deliverables that support clients’ marketing ecosystems
  • Interact with clients to determine requirements and translate them into technical specifications and project plans
  • Remain organized throughout completion of projects, being able to relay this information effectively through use of project management software
  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, to both internal agency and external client audiences
  • Implement and interpret trackable measures (Google Analytics, Google Data Studios) that monitor the efficacy of online and offline marketing efforts
  • Respond quickly, and keep team members in different fields in the loop with progress on various projects (Creative, Account, Public Relations, Media)
  • Work in a focused manner, with high availability during work hours, seeking and understanding work prioritization
  • Make decisions both collaboratively and independently

*Career Requirements:*

  •  3+ years web development experience, including project management
  •  Can develop with PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and client-side JavaScript
  •  Able to collaborate effectively with other developers
  •  Comfortable in development of high quality custom coded WordPress Plugins
  •  CMS experience: WordPress and Drupal
  •  Experience with Apache and Nginx Web Servers
  •  Experience with MySQL, MariaDB and other SQL-based databases
  •  DNS management
  •  Linux server administration
  •  A security focus in development, with the ability to identify and eliminate vulnerabilities
  •  Skilled at utilizing Google Analytics, Search Console, Data Studio and Tag Manager
  •  Can build interactive front-end interfaces to exact design specifications
  •  Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing
  •  Experience integrating 3rd party data sources including REST APIs and screen scraping
  •  Experience with responsive web development
  •  Experience with email development/campaigns
  •  Agile mindset; quick to adopt and learn new technologies and skills on a client-by-client basis
  •  An ability to follow and enforce best practices to build extensible and standards compliant websites (GDPR, ADA)
  • Experience with marketing based software such as: Salesforce, HubSpot, ConstantContact, MyEmma, etc.
  • Working knowledge of “website builder” sites (Shopify, SquareSpace, WIX)

*Experience Bonuses:*

  •  Experience with CentOS/Red Hat Linux
  •  IT based experience in ways that can serve our organization or our client’s organization(s)
  • Google Workspace administration and set-up
  •  Well-versed in secure and optimized implementation of SSL
  •  Knowledge of SEO techniques
  •  Experience using MOZ Analytics
  •  Experience with emerging web tools and standards such as HTTP/2, Varnish / Docker, Redis, etc.
  •  Experience with Woo-Commerce and delivering e-commerce based experiences
  •  Experience with Amazon AWS
  •  Experience with the hosting platform Linode
  •  Experience with WordPress hosting platforms like Pantheon, Kinsta etc.
  •  Experience with the MODX CMS
  •  Basic Photoshop skills (primarily slicing design comps)
  •  Experience with downtime response and website recovery
  •  Residency in Vermont
  •  Ability to Travel to Vermont for in person meetings (~2 times a year at most)
  • Experience with security platforms like Sucuri
